What exactly is Poise?+
A budgeting app that drafts and maintains your budget from your real transactions, instead of asking you to build one from a blank spreadsheet. Connect your accounts and it stays current on its own.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes — 14 days, full access, no card required to start. If you decide it's not for you, nothing is charged and nothing needs cancelling.
How does Poise connect to my bank?+
Through Plaid, the same bank-grade infrastructure most finance apps use. Access is read-only: Poise can see transactions to build your budget, but it can never move money or make changes to your accounts.
Does my budget update automatically?+
Yes. As transactions come in, Poise categorises them and adjusts your budget in the background — no monthly reset, no manual re-entry.
Can I use Poise with a partner or household?+
Yes — invite them from Settings → Household. You'll share one budget with a combined view of accounts, and each of you keeps your own login.
What happens to my data if I cancel?+
Your data stays in place until the end of your current billing period, so you can export or come back without losing history. After that it's permanently deleted.
Is my financial data secure?+
Bank connections are read-only via Plaid, and your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Poise never sells or shares your financial data.
